Target profile: Students, trainees and professionals who work or may work in the future with French-speaking legal professionals and/or with legal documents written in French.
We would like to draw students’ attention to the fact that this course concerns legal French and is not a law course.
this course enables students to combine the French language with their prior knowledge and provides them with the language tools specific to legal activities. However, the learning of legal terms requires the knowledge of certain legal notions that may come up during the course, in particular:
- the basic legal framework: the main areas of law, European Community Law, sources of law.
- the course content covers the minimum background any law professional (especially business law) is expected to have
Students may greatly benefit by bringing their own general documents presenting their company, examples of internal communications or correspondence with customers. Since these documents may be of a confidential nature, BLS guarantees that no copies will be kept.
