Enter the fascinating world of prestigious Bordeaux wines with our one-week combined course "French and Wine". This week will blow your mind.

With the wine courses, you will explore so many secrets of the "Art of Tasting" and also the amazing complexity involved in making Bordeaux wines.

The best part of this: you will learn the secrets of the Bordeaux wine making (“assemblage”) and create your own wine in a group.

A Bordeaux – 5 days French and wine course including:

• 20 French lessons (mornings) at  BLS school
• 3 afternoon sessions on Bordeaux wines including: the “Art of Tasting”, becoming familiar with great wines from major Bordeaux wine growing areas, and learning the very specific wine making technique of Bordeaux (“Assemblage”)
• 2 afternoon excursions to visit “Châteaux”
• Support documents
• A "Taster" certificate will be delivered at the end of the week

Levels: elementary to advanced (see levels)

Course begins: fixed dates (see dates bellow)

Timetable: 9.30 to 12.45 with a 15 minute break, Monday to Friday+ afternoon wine programme

Duration: 1 week, which can be combined (before or after) any other type of course

Bordeaux  wine courses / “oenologie” - objectives

• Quality and usability:

1. Small group of 6 to 12 people
2. The first day, your teacher will pick you up at BLS
3. The courses are delievered in French and can be translated into English if needed!

This course is taught every afternoon from Monday to Friday at « Bordeaux Saveurs », a satellite that belongs to MrsSylvie Cazes co-owner of the renowned Medoc Chateau Lynch-Bages. « Bordeaux Saveurs » is just a few minutes’ walk from BLS.

General French - objectives and methodology - consult the Standard 20 French Course

• The practice of spoken French in communicative situations and a cultural approach to the language
• Development of linguistic proficiency (written and oral expression / written and oral comprehension / interpersonal communication)
• Communicative methods combining individual development and group dynamics (group work, role plays, etc.)
• Single-level groups, 8 to 12 students maximum, ensure easy participation and a true group dynamic as well as individual attention from the teacher
• French as a foreign language manual provided, authentic documents, audio/video, press, French songs, etc.
