1. Accommodation costs are € 80 - they are non-refundable in case of cancellation
2. Payment terms: the entire stay must be paid in advance
3. Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation occurs at d+8, the fee is one week accommodation.
• If the cancellation occurs at d-8, the fee is 50% of the stay expenses.
• Any stay started is due.

The Student Charter: Our host families welcome all students in compliance with our quality policy. We also expect students to adapt and respect their host family. You will find all relevant information in our student charter that we ask you to read, sign and return to BLS prior to arrival.

Under 18 form: For underage students, the Under 18 form is mandatory in order to be in a host family. We ask parents and children to read and sign the school's parental discharge. This parental discharge must be sent  back to school before the arrival of the student. There can be no derogation from the schedules set out in the present charter. Any abusive behaviour may cause an expulsion from the host family, without refund and under the parents' responsibility.

Living in host family

If you enjoy talking and a complete immersion in a French lifestyle, staying in a French family is an option that will meet your expectations. In a warm setting, you will be able to practice and improve your French for an attractive price.

Whatever the age of members of our host families and their social status, all they have in common is their sense of hospitality and friendliness. They are carefully selected by our team. We strive to meet (as closely as possible) everyone's expectation (thank you to provide us with as much information as possible about you, your interests, your desires, etc.)..

Our families are located from 5 to 35 minutes from BLS. Usually each family welcomes one or several students with different mother tongues. We cannot guarantee this condition during summer. We also strive to place students with the same nationality in different host families.

The accommodation period begins on Sunday afternoon prior to your stay and ends on Saturday morning following the end of your courses.

REMINDER:

• BLS can only commit to accommodation in host families according to availabilities.
  In Biarritz, from June to September, students between 16 and 19 are placed in twin rooms.

For those looking for some independence or staying in Biarritz for a longer period, we strongly recommend that you stay in a comfortable, practical and equipped hotel or studio for singles, couples or families.

Victoria Surf is situated in an ideal location: in the city center, opposite the main beach and 20 minutes from BLS by bus (line 8).

Clean and renovated studios, which can receive 1 to 3 people (extra bed for the third person). Equipped kitchenette, hob, fridge, oven, cooking utensils, etc.. Bed linen provided but not towels. Separate bathroom and toilet. Most apartments have a balcony. Wifi. Pool. Solarium (summer only). Underground parking available (only on request and availability - additional cost).

These studios will delight surfers and anyone in love with the sea.

ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES

• Arrivals are on Saturday, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 9:00 am to noon. If you arrive outside these hours, thank you to directly contact the residence to receive the keys of your studio.
• Departures are on Saturdays before 10 am.

DEPOSIT

A deposit of € 200 will be required at your arrival for damage. The deposit will be refunded at the end of your stay if the apartment is clean and in the same condition as when you arrived.

The Hotel Atalaye is exceptionally located in the heart of Biarritz, close to the sea, 20/25 minutes from BLS by bus (line 8).

The staff is friendly and warm-hearted. The rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. This hotel is ideal for anyone who wants to be in the city center. Some rooms will allow you to enjoy the ocean view. Very good value for money. Free WIFI access in public areas. Lift.

Located in the heart of the historic district of whalers and by the ocean, the Hotel Marbella offers 30 rooms, including 14 with balconies and two with terrace and ocean view on Rocher de la Vierge.

You'll enjoy the charm of the beach and the center of Biarritz.

All rooms are air conditioned and have bathrooms with bath or shower, flat screen TV, mini bar, telephone, double glazing, individual safe. TV stations have GST programs, Spanish, English and German chanels.
Free wireless Internet is available for customers in 15 rooms and there is a free Internet station in the lobby.

Reception is open from 8 am to 10 pm - Tourist tax: 1 € per day and person. Buffet breakfast included in price.

Accommodation in host families

a) Arrivals: arrivals take place on Sunday afternoon between 2 pm and 10 pm.

The transfer is provided by the host family. We ask each student to contact his host family a week before the beginning of his stay, in order to give them his time of arrival. It is important to make sure the family gets your schedule (forwarding email, phone, etc.).. If the host family does not have the time of arrival, they may be absent when you arrive - and thus will only welcome you from 6 pm. Neither BLS nor the host family can be considered responsible for that.

b) Departures: Departures take place on Saturday morning before 1:00 p.m.

The return transfer can be provided by the host family, in which case it is necessary to specify it when registering for BLS, which will confirm that it will be taken in charge. For any unconfirmed request, the transfer will be at the student's expenses.
